Invite the light, keep out the cold!
When it was time for Mikael and Carina to construct a new machinery shed, both the appearance and functionality were of utmost importance. Now, the Falu red machinery shed, complemented by the black, fully glazed doors, enhances the farm’s landscape – exactly as planned.
– The fully glazed doors are the most stylish ones you can have! There was no doubt that these were the ones we wanted to install. Since the machinery shed is built near the courtyard, we wanted it to look more like a house than a barn, and it really does,” says Mikael contentedly.
The machinery shed is heated, and therefore, it was crucial for the doors to be insulating. When choosing to install fully glazed doors, there is no need to compromise on insulation, as they maintain a U-value of 1.1 when using insulated glass.
– We actually have an old EAB door from before, and it has worked well all these years. We are familiar with EAB, and it was a given that we would choose EAB doors again this time. It’s simply built to last, Mikael laughs.
Mikael and Carina’s two folding doors are 4.80 meters wide and 3.40 meters high, with one of them featuring a pedestrian door. With these, there are no problems storing either mini harvesters or excavators!
