Since 2011, Karriärföretagen has annually presented Sweden’s most attractive employers for students and young professionals. The selected employers earn the right to call themselves Career Companies for one year. The purpose of the award is to guide Sweden’s students and young professionals towards their next employer and to recognise companies excelling in employer branding.

We are incredibly proud and delighted to be one of the 2025 Career Companies, awarded with the following motivation:

‘EAB is named Career Company 2025 for its commitment to creating a workplace where employees can grow and develop. As an employer, EAB offers an inspiring environment with excellent career opportunities and a strong focus on fostering a balance between professional and personal well-being. Their dedication to the long-term development and welfare of their employees makes them an attractive and forward-thinking employer, earning them the designation of Career Company 2025.’

The process to be designated as a Career Company
All organisations and companies in Sweden have the opportunity to become a Career Company. Initially, candidates must meet a set of basic criteria. To ultimately be recognised as a Career Company, those who qualify must also pass through all the stages of the selection process. The aim of the process is to ensure the presence of a high-quality employer branding programme and confirm that the employer meets the requirements of an attractive workplace.

Step 1: Basic criteria
All companies and organisations in Sweden are considered for the Career Companies 2025 designation. Approximately 1,000 companies, government agencies, authorities, and municipalities are selected based on the basic criteria and are given the opportunity to be considered as Career Companies 2025. The basic criteria are as follows:

  • At least 250 employees and/or a turnover exceeding 250 MSEK
  • A dedicated Head of HR within the organisation
  • Ongoing recruitment efforts

“Up & Coming”: An employer that does not fully meet the basic criteria but has otherwise distinguished itself in employer branding over the past year may still progress to the next stage.

Step 2: Expert panel review
All organisations are reviewed by the Career Companies Expert Panel, which consists of specialists in HR, web, career counselling, social media, and marketing.

The expert panel evaluates:

  • The organisation’s career pages: information, quality, and engagement
  • Presence and quality on social media and other digital platforms
  • Activities targeted towards students and recent graduates
  • Attractiveness as an employer in external surveys

The expert panel assigns each employer a score on a scale from 1 to 10 for each criterion. The 400 employers with the highest scores progress to the next stage.

Step 3: The jury selects the Career Companies of the Year.
The Career Company Jury selects the final employers who will receive the Career Company 2025 award.

The jury members are:

  • Boris Nordenström, serial entrepreneur and founder of Jobline, among others
  • Charlotte Hågård, one of Sweden’s most respected talent and career experts
  • Anna Dyhre, Sweden’s most sought-after employer branding lecturer
  • Torgny Johnsson, HR advisor and consultant, former HR director at SAS and Infranord
