Sustainable project ties up the loose ends
EAB has supplied a frame for Hitachi Zosen Inovas (HZI), a new biogas facility in Jönköping, through the client NCC, who is the turnkey contractor for the building project and EAB’s collaborative partner for the project.
“EAB was chosen based on competence, communication and lengthy experience.”
Martin Hamn, NCC
“We chose to use EAB primarily based on competence concerning design, quick communication and lengthy experience with steel frames. The design help we initially received was very helpful towards our client HZi,” explains Martin Hamn, contract engineer at NCC.
“Our entire on-site organisation thinks that the project was fun to do together with EAB and are very satisfied with the product and that they have adhered to the promised cost structure and flagged any changes in time.”
A PROJECT IN A SUSTAINABLE SPIRIT
The facility will produce environmentally friendly biogas from food and garden waste, as well as high-quality fertiliser, through so-called dry rot. 40,000 tonnes of organic food waste will produce approximately 35 GWh of biogas every year, which is then converted into high-quality biomethane and is sold as fuel for e.g., public transport and other gas vehicles.
