40,000 pallet places for Nowaste Logistics
Nowaste Logistics in Helsingborg is one of Sweden’s leading 3PL companies with unique expertise to solve logistics challenges of a varying nature. The company handles items such as foodstuffs, fashion, technology gadgets, construction products and furniture.
In 2018, a larger logistics building was constructed at Tostarp in Helsingborg, in the best possible location along the E6/E4 motorway. The company primarily manages products for brands such as Trademax, Chilli and Furniturebox here. Many new logistics buildings are constructed using simple and uniform facade designs, but in this case the company thought out of the box and built a facade that was attractive looking with an interesting and unique design. At night, the facade is illuminated with a fantastic light display.
To manage and store the goods in a smart, effective and safe manner, the EAB Omega pallet racking system was chosen. Extra-long beams together with the mesh decks provide added flexibility, as the goods are often oversized and lightweight, plus they also arrive on pallets of varying quality. Cross-docking of goods takes place in an extra wide pallet truck tunnel.

438-METRE-LONG CORRIDOR
After just a short time the warehouse was already full, and the company began looking at extension that was included in the plan from the start. With a building start in the winter of 2019, the building was extended towards the north and new houses some 40,000 pallet places. The building is a total of 48,400 m2 and the corridor for cross-transport has now become 438 metres long and 4.5 metres wide.
